Living in luanda is very tough job if one can work here, he can live in any part of the world. luanda is very crowded, heavy traffic, rough road, pollution, snatching cases, and long power cut, occasionally fresh water in tap, last 10 days I dont have power in my house, thank god I have generator. earlier no water for 4 days that time in whole luanda there was no running water in tap. these all problems shared by all persons when they meet. In spite of all Luanda is luanda,
fabulous is very nice place, sour randed by clear and white send beaches a good place for relaxing on weekend. I often go to Ilha de Luanda there is very long road along side the ocean and at the and there is one light house and lots of good restaurants, you will find lots of persons there expats as well as local. But if you are vegetarian, please forget vegetarian food, no body know about vegetarian food, if you will ask for vegetarian food they will serve you fish.
If you go to the suburbs of Luanda cacuaco, this is in the north east of the luanda and along side the coastal. this is also very nice place, having big local market of vegetables, means real vegetables, to reach there you can go by your own car or can take blue taxi and big buses these are the local transport but very crowded. if you go more beyond the cacuaco you will reach to Pangila. there you will find fresh water river which merge into the ocean. people go there for fishing and for picnic. beyond the cacuaco one barro de dandee fine fresh water river good place for boating and picnic.
south of luanda aprrox. 70-80 k.m. barro de kwanza quite and calm, good place for weekends. kwanza river is flowing in his full swing and pouring in atlantic ocean there are few hotels for staying on river and ocean bank one can enjoy both at a time and can spend long time in fresh water river as well as fresh water ocean.
In the crowded, heavy traffic, rough road, pollution, snatching cases, and long power cut, occasionally fresh water in tap, of Luanda there is one oasis, The Mussolo mussolo is small island situated south of luanda not far from luanda only 15-30 minute from the center of the city. to reach there you have to take a boat, so you can enjoy the boat riding and there you will find peace. wow what a peace there you can listen the hamming of birds, few restaurant
